Yes, after a short and tumultuous journey into the world of video last week, our podcast returns to its audio roots, and this week, Turpster and I welcome a special guest host, direct from Brigwyn’s Child’s Play charity auction. Listener Kevin D. was kind enough to step up and donate a very generous amount of money to Child’s Play, and for that (and because he’s a cool guy), we’ll be welcoming him on the show. He’s got a few things he wants to talk about, including how guilds work together, how to balance WoW and life, and why people are or aren’t shy as they play the game. And of course we’ll answer a few of your emails (you can send those to theshow@wow.com now), and during the meat of the show, we’ll talk about the most popular posts from the last week.
Should be a lot of fun, and hey here’s this: by the time we go live, we’ll all know whether we have BlizzCon tickets or not. Scary, no? Join us over on the our Ustream page at Sunday, May 31 at 3:30 AM in your time zone (GMT+8) , or you can jump after the break to

Here’s a big oops — a company named M&A Technology accidentally shipped out a unit of their Companion Touch PC that contained some malware on it, including a password stealer that targeted World of Warcraft. It was an accident — apparently someone at the factory decided to upgrade the computer’s drivers and software before shipping it out, but they used a USB stick that had been infected with the bad apps, and thus in the process infected the brand new computer. Fortunately, the person who received the computer apparently scanned and caught the bad code before any damage was done — I guess if you buy a computer from a brand you’ve never heard of, it’s worth giving it an antivirus and malware scan at least once before you use it.
And/or you can just use an authenticator — even if someone nabs your password, the Blizzard Authenticator makes sure that they can’t log in without a current code. So there’s not too much to worry about here — while computers do occasionally get shipped with software that could

Welcome back to The Queue, Wow.com’s daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky will be your host today.
Many thanks to Sacco for covering The Queue last Friday. For some odd reason he decided to start drawing this weekend, and you can see one of his drawings above. For the other image you’ll have to check out our Twitter page (it wasn’t done when today’s edition of The Queue was written).
If you’re wondering about the title, we’re not going to talk about the mistake Adam made over the weekend when he was setting up WoW on his fresh dual-boot linux install. It’s just really not worth going over how he managed to delete his WoW directory that has lasted him since pre-BC. Not at all.
Remember that The Queue is here to answer your questions, and you can either leave them in a comment in this article or contact us with them. So without further ado…

I know, I know, most of you hate Arenas. I’ve been writing for WoW Insider — ahem, I mean WoW.com — long enough to know that you guys probably aren’t the most avid of PvP players. But the fun thing about it is that at least I’m not preaching to the choir, right? Anyway, I have to admit that I’ve gotten pretty tired of Arenas myself. Aside from two to three weeks worth of games in Season 5, I skipped the season altogether, unhappy with the balance then and the constantly changing rating and matchmaking system.
That wasn’t even the heart of it, really. In the past seasons where I’d had the most success, I played with particular classes and specs that were viable in that season’s environment. More importantly, I teamed up with players who were focused on PvP and were expectedly competent at it. The downside was that our success as a team was proportional to my loathing of the players on my team, particularly our team leader who was prone to excessive nerd rage and finger pointing. It sometimes happens that the best PvP players

Tipster Brian pointed us at the under development page, which is now listing details for Patch 3.2. It’s looking pretty interesting, all told. More Argent Tournament!
We’re going to present a screenshot of the changes from the Under Development page after the jump, but just to make sure your appetites are whetted, so to speak (or type, I’m not actually talking) here’s a detail: there will be a new battleground called the Isle of Conquest, a large scale siege between the Horde and the Alliance.
But wait, there’s more!

Dude. Wait, what? I think I got a contact high from watching this trippy video. This is Green Tambourine by Demachic. It seems like we’ve missed covering it before now, which is a shame. As the story goes, a bored Blood Elf finds a trippy hookah hanging around, and decides to try it out. He’s looking to break that boredom and day-to-day life he leads in Silvermoon.
While it might be my inner hippy speaking out, I found this video absolutely gorgeous. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, and Demachic’s flair for scenery sets up a great context for the music. All the characters really fit in that 60s and 70s psychadelic genre, and the whole thing just comes together wonderfully.
The song was originally by the Lemon Pipers, and it actually reached #1 on the charts in 1968. Demachic’s video is a great homage to the song.
Thanks to Stephen for the tip!

Every Wednesday, Chase Christian of Encrypted Text invites you to enter the world of shadows, as we explore the secrets and mechanics of the Rogue class. This week, we discuss some of the tips and tricks to remember when raiding Ulduar.
With Ulduar laid wide open, many Rogues and their guilds are flocking to its gates. Brand new bosses and shiny gear upgrades are just two of the reasons that I’ve seen so many ‘LFM Ulduar’ advertisements in trade chat. However, as the dungeon is still relatively new, many of us haven’t had the opportunity to confront every giant-sized boss in the instance.
I’ve compiled a list of basic roles for each boss fight in the instance, as well as a list of cool tricks and tips you can use to make your first (or eighth!) run through Ulduar as smooth as possible. Blizzard has included several fights in the instance where it is advantageous to bring a Rogue, and being able to proactively seize these opportunities will put you at the head of the pack.

Flame Leviathan is a fight that I can get behind as a

The devs have been promising some buffs to warrior DPS for a while, but there haven’t been any specifics. Today is no change. There are “buffs planned” for Arms and Fury, but there are no details announced yet. Ghostcrawler does mention that “there is almost no chance of a Titan’s Grip change at any time in the near future,” so don’t hold your breath about that. My guess would be they’re simply tired of making changes to that talent.
The only other piece of new information in the post is that the impending DPS buffs “might come with PvP nerfs,” since they’re seeing a ton of Warriors in the arena right now. The Juggernaut nerf that went live today might address that some, as well. What do you think Blizzard should do to buff warriors in PvE, without making them (more) overpowered in PvP?

As we mentioned just the other day, the latest batch of TCG loot from Fields of Honor is on the PTR for testing. I couldn’t resist going to give those things a whirl myself. After all, how else will I decide if I should blow money on these things? Plus, the PTR has premade level 80s this cycle. Premades plus free TCG loot to play around with? Yes, please!
For those of you that don’t have the time or inclination to hop on the PTR yourselves, we’ve grabbed some video of the various items in action. Up above you’ll see El Pollo Grande, and below the cut you’ll find the Path of Cenarius and the Ogre Pinata. I recommend clicking through to their YouTube page and watching them in High Quality.

You want tickets to BlizzCon 2009?
You want to enter the queue to purchase them tomorrow?
You’ve heard the horror stories about how it all went haywire last year?
Well, here’s the pro tip of all pro tips, even better than Turpster’s Tips: make your Battle.net account now and make sure your credit card / check card has enough money to cover the $125 cost of the ticket.
While Blizzard has done a lot to make sure that the system will be smoother than last year, if you’ve already bought a plane ticket out to LA and have the hotels booked, etc., you’ll want to be 100% sure you do everything you can do get these elusive tickets easily.
The whole process takes just a couple of minutes, and you don’t have to tie your World of Warcraft account to the Battle.net account unless you want to. They can remain entirely separate. Head over to the Battle.net account creation page and do this now!
