WoW: Graphics Overhaul Later Rather Than Sooner

WoW: Graphics Overhaul Later Rather Than Sooner From the “don’t-mess-with-a-good-thing” files, Eurogamer inserted subliminal messaging to interviewee J. Allen Brack. In the midst of an interview about the upcoming WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, editors sneaked this little graphics gem in: Eurogamer: Do you think WOW is ever going to need a complete overhaul of the engine? J. Allen Brack: That’s actually something we talk about every expansion. It’s interesting, two games have really tried that before, Ultima Online tried it and EverQuest tried it as well, and in each case it was only somewhat successful. In each case a lot of people continued to play with the original client, because it was faster, or they preferred it, or were just used to it or whatever. And so for me as a game developer, the idea that we would spend so much time and energy on something and have people go, “meh, that’s not really for me,” that’s not very exciting. So I don’t think there’s really a clear model as to how to do that

What’s going on in this picture, submitted by Ben? 1.      A mage is demonstrating the new Arcane Barrage spell from Wrath. 2.      The ghostly spirits of all those who have fallen into the Ironforge lava are coming back for vengeance. 3.      A male and a female gas cloud are totally hooking up right in the middle of town where everyone can see them. 4.      Someone put a Torch of Retribution up to an ogre’s behind after the yearly Bean Dip Tasting Festival. Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We’d love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Championing Classic Factions

Championing Classic Factions   First off, let me start by saying that I love this idea of wearing a tabard can grant you reputation with a certain faction while running instances/ turning in quests that grant reputation. It greatly helps those of us that have alts and do not want to run a specific instance over and over again after already having it done on a few other characters. It’s also a relief for those of us on smaller population realms where it’s hard to get groups to run 5mans.   What I would like to know is do you have any other information that you can share with us on this new system?   Will there be restrictions as to which factions you can/ cannot accrue reputation gains with by wearing the tabard (i.e, will there still be factions that require you to grind rep like brood of norzdoom(sp?)/ thorium brotherhood)?   What level of reputation must be reached before we will be able to wear that specific faction’s tabard?   For factions that currently do not have tabards in game, will there be one made for them?   For BG faction reputation, if
